Jack Bauer fans, brace yourselves for some nail-biting: 24 will return to Fox for a limited run next year. Kiefer Sutherland, whose most recent show, Touch, was just canceled by Fox, will reprise his role as Jack Bauer. 24 ran from 2001 to 2010 with a TV movie, and there had long been plans to bring the show to the big screen. The reboot, tentatively titled 24: Live Another Day, comes after that project died in development. Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told reporters in 2011 that he would be “heartbroken” if the show didn’t have the chance to return. Unlike previous seasons, the 12-episode run will take place over more than 24 hours.
