For the first time in a year, President Obama met with Russiaâs President Vladimir Putin face-to-face to negotiate their stances on Syria at the G8 summit meeting. âOur positions do not fully coincide, but we are united by the common intention to end the violence,â Putin ultimately said. They didnât exactly seem at ease though. âBoth leaders looked tense and uncomfortable as they addressed reporters,â according to Reuters.
