Well, he did say he’d be back. James Cameron’s epic Terminator franchise is set to invade movie screens again—with or without Arnold Schwarzenegger. Paramount has confirmed that the sci-fi franchise will reboot with a new film scheduled for a June 26, 2015, release date, the first installment in a planned stand-alone trilogy. Producer David Ellison’s Skydance Pictures won the rights to the franchise two years ago at an auction and initially intended Justin Lin (Fast & Furious 6) to direct and Schwarzenegger to reprise his role as the T-800. Then news broke that the 65-year-old actor had fathered a child out of wedlock, putting his participation on hold. As of now, it's unclear whether Schwarzenegger and Lin are still aboard.
