Clad in rainbow-striped suspenders, American reporter James Kirchick was kicked off a show on Russian TV after protesting the country’s antihomosexuality laws and declining to speak about the Bradley Manning verdict. “Being here on a Kremlin-funded propaganda network, I’m going ... to speak out against the horrific, antigay legislation that Vladimir Putin has signed into law,” he said. A host for RT, which is a government-funded network, explained after that since Kirchick was not speaking on the present topic, “we had to take him off air.” Kirchick later tweeted that “RT just called taxi company that took me to studio to drop me off on the side of the highway.”
