That’s more than the blackout or Superbowl! #fact.” Cyrus also retweeted a review from Rolling Stone that called her the “one star in the room who truly understood what the MTV Video Music Awards is all about.” (Is that a compliment?) Cyrus’s father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, tweeted a (kind of) supportive message, writing, “Thanking God for so many blessings tonight. Continue to pray for world peace. More love ... less hate.” And she had support on stage: Robin Thicke, whom she performed “Blurred Lines” with, called Cyrus’s performance “dope.”
