‘SNL’ Cast Adds Six

Six more people will get the chance to say, “Live from New York, it’s Saturday night.” Saturday Night Live added six new cast members and promoted Cecily Strong to join Seth Meyers in “Weekend Update.” Meyers, 39, will be leaving SNL in February to take over to host Late Night for NBC four nights a week. Strong debuted on SNL last year and made a splash with her recurring character Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation With at a Party. Joining the cast will be Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Michael Patrick O’Brien, John Mihiser, Brooks Wheelan, and Noël Wells.
