There will be no Hillary Clinton films after all. NBC on Monday canceled its plans to air a film about Clinton’s life, just hours after CNN made the same move. The network said in a statement that the film was canceled after “reviewing and prioritizing our slate of movie/miniseries development,” but the director of the CNN film said that they were forced to cancel after pressure from Clinton’s allies and on the other side, the RNC. In effort to pull the plug on the films, the RNC had banned both NBC and CNN from hosting debates—although now both networks are technically eligible again. Lucky for us?
