Looks like somebody is taking a cue from Jay-Z and Kanye West in terms of modestly-named singles. Eminem released his new single on Monday, titled “Rap God.” It’s the second single from his upcoming album Marshall Mathers LP 2, which goes on sale November 5. The song calls back to rap history, both his own and general hip-hop history—and he pays tribute to the rappers who inspired him. “I know there was a time when I was king of the underground,” Eminem raps. He already released “Berzerk” off MM2.
