Cue music aficionado outrage. Sixteen nominees for this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced, including Kiss, Nirvana, Peter Gabriel and Hall & Oates. Much of the buzz will focus on Nirvana getting the nod 25 years after their debut, and the first nomination for Linda Ronstadt, who recently announced her diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Nominees who failed to make it through last year will also be on the ballot, including LL Cool J, N.W.A. and Deep Purple. For the second time, the public will be able to participate in selecting the eventual inductees by voting online.
