A historic title is back from the dead. On Tuesday, Newsweek magazine announced it will begin printing a weekly edition again starting in January or February. The 79-year-old publication was previously merged with The Daily Beast, and ceased print production in December 2012. It was sold to IBT Media in August, and is led by editor Jim Impoco, who says the new model will be subscriber-reliant. “We see it as a premium product, a boutique product,” he says.
