Diplomacy pays off. Iran will receive $550 miillion at the start of February when world powers free part of Tehran's blocked $4.2 billion. The money is part of a temporary agreement to curb Iran's nuclear program and goes into effect Jan. 20. Iran also gets temporary relief from sanctions. The deal says Iran will stop enriching uranium beyond 5 percent, dilute or convert its current stockpile, and cease installing new centrifuges.
