‘Pinocchio Rex’ Dinosaur Discovered

MOVE OVER, T-REX

Meet Pinocchio rex.

Scientists have discovered a new species of dinosaur, the long-snouted Qianzhousaurus sinensis otherwise known as "Pinocchio rex." Workmen found the remains at a construction site in China. "It is an awesome specimen, almost a complete skeleton. It is a really one-in-a-million find that those workers made,” said Dr Steve Brusatte, one of the experts at the University of Edinbrugh who analyzed the remains. While Pinocchio Rex is part of the same family of the better-known Tyrannosaurus rex, it would have likely looked very different. The newer species has a more powerful jaw and thicker teeth.
