The United States is charging a state actor with cyberespionage for the first time ever. The Justice Department filed criminal charges Monday against five Chinese military officials for hacking American companies in the nuclear-power, metals, and solar-products industries. "They used military and intelligence facilities to commit cyberespionage against U.S. companies," an official told NBC News. "Enough is enough," Attorney General Eric Holder said. "It is our hope that the Chinese government will respect our criminal-justice system." China has long been viewed as the worst perpetrator of using computer spying to gather information and steal trade secrets.
