Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell held on to the GOP’s nomination Tuesday night, cruising to a primary victory with 60.4 percent of the vote. In Idaho, Rep. Mike Simpson fended off Club for Growth-backed primary opponent Bryan Smith. And in Georgia, two establishment candidates, David Perdue and Rep. Jack Kingston, beat three socially conservative opponents.
