Joe Biden one-upped his boss Wednesday, saying the United States will follow ISIS to the “gates of hell until they are brought to justice because hell is where they will reside.” The vice president was reacting to the beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff in a video released by ISIS on Tuesday. President Obama said during a visit to Estonia that the U.S. will “degrade and destroy [ISIS] so that it is no longer a threat to Iraq, the region, and United States.” The mission will “take some time but it is going to get done,” Obama told reporters Wednesday morning. “Those who make the mistake of harming Americans will learn that we will not forget and that our reach is long and that justice will be served.” He added that Sotloff “deeply loved the Islamic world” and risked his life to “tell the story of Muslim men and women demanding dignity.”
