One of the two cops who was shot chasing down suspected robbers Monday night isn’t happy that Mayor Bill de Blasio visited him in the hospital. Andrew Dossi, 30, was paid a visit by NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton and the mayor at St. Barnabas Hospital. “He wasn’t too happy about the mayor’s visit,” said his father, Joe Dossi. “He deals with some crappy people every day and [is] getting no support [from the mayor]. Come on. These are the guys in the trenches dealing with anything and everything.” Meanwhile, police union leader Patrick Lynch piled on de Blasio during an interview with NPR, saying, “City Hall is creating an atmosphere where every interaction with police officers turns into a confrontation.” One of the shooting suspects is reportedly in police custody, according to CBS2 in New York.
