Police discovered 12 firearms and a stockpile of ammunition in the home of 46-year-old Craig Stephen Hicks, the Chapel Hill man charged in the fatal shooting of three Muslim students, according to a search warrant. Authorities are investigating whether religious hatred played a role in Tuesday's killing of University of North Carolina dental student Deah Barakat, 23, his wife, Yusor Abu-Salha, 21, and her 19-year-old sister Razan Abu-Salha. The three were found dead in their home near the university campus in Chapel Hill. Investigators said a parking dispute prompted the shooting, but authorities, including the FBI, have opened an inquiry into whether any federal laws were violated. Earlier Friday President Barack Obama condemned the shootings as "brutal and outrageous murders." Obama said in a statement that "no one in the United States of American should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship."
