A State Department spokesperson told Jonathan Karl of ABC News that it will be “several months” before Hillary Clinton’s emails are released. The news comes hours after Clinton tweeted that she’s asked State to release them in response to subpoenas by the House Select Committee on Benghazi. They’re asking for all communication regarding the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya. Clinton reportedly plans to announce her presidential campaign in April, which would mean the emails will drop just as she begins formally running.
