Prince released a new single, Baltimore, on Saturday in response to the riots and demonstrations that wracked the city in the wake of Freddie Gray's death, the Guardian reported. The artist released the track via Twitter a day before he was slated to play the Rally4Peace concert, which he announced earlier this week. Prince references not only Gray, but also Michael Brown, the unarmed teenager killed in Ferguson, Mo., last year, whose death helped spark a wrenching national debate about race and police authority. “Does anybody hear us pray?/ For Michael Brown or Freddie Gray/ Peace is more than the absence of war," the lyrics go. “Are we gonna see another bloody day?/We’re tired of cryin’ and people dyin’/ Let’s take all the guns away.”
