Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan appeared on NBC’s Today show Monday morning, speaking out for the first time about a fatal car crash last year that left him severely injured. Clutching a cane, Morgan said he’s re-watched footage of the crash many times to try to understand what happened. “When I first came out of the coma, I was a mess,” he told host Matt Lauer. “Bones heal. The loss of my friend will never heal.” He said his priorities now are to focus on healing, rather than an immediate return to the stage, but that friends from 30 Rock helped him through. “I’ve been down — they keep my spirits up,” he said.
