At least three people are facing as much as six months in prison and $500 fines for cheering too loudly at a high-school graduation ceremony in Mississippi. Superintendent Jay Foster asked authorities to press charges against people escorted out for cheering during the Senatobia High School graduation ceremony, campus police say, for “disturbing the peace.” “That was a graduation ceremony,” said Ursula Miller, who was detained for yelling her niece’s name and clapping. “That’s what you do. You celebrate.”
