A small contingent of pro-Confederate flag supporters rallied Saturday at the state capitol in Columbia, S.C., hours after an activist named Bree Newsome temporarily took down the state house's flag and was arrested. Similar rallies were also planned in Alabama and North Carolina on Saturday. A larger âDrive for Prideâ rally from Brandon, Fla., to Tampa and back attracted hundreds in Florida on Friday night. âIt shows about the Civil War, that we lost, Southern states we lost, it leaves us with the pride we have in the South,â one supporter, Lexy Webb, told a local CBS affiliate. Drivers in the rally were involved in one accident and received two tickets during the rally.
