TLC has canceled the Duggar family’s 19 Kids and Counting reality-TV show, the cable network announced Thursday. The Arkansas family was embroiled in controversy when it was revealed that Josh Duggar, their 27-year-old son, molested five underage girls as a teenager. Four of the girls were his sisters. Later, the Duggar family admitted that it had put locks on the girls’ doors after the incidents. The network will conclude its coverage of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s family with a one-time special episode about child molestation, as part of an ongoing campaign about child sexual abuse. It will air without commercials and include two of the Duggar women. “TLC has been especially concerned for the victims in this situation, including the Duggar family, and it is our hope that this effort will help those in need learn where to turn for information and help.” TLC said.
