Hundreds of protesters have gathered in Beirut to continue expressing outrage at the government for its inability to dispose of garbage last month. Police fired tear gas and rubber bullets yesterday to dispel crowds but many stayed overnight to push back against the police violence. Resentment against the government has been high in recent weeks after the country was left with enormous piles of garbage when regional leaders couldn't agree where to place it. The group of protesters that organized this weekend called themselves the "You Stink" campaign.
