The site of Wednesday’s mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, is the Inland Regional Center, an agency that “coordinates with generic services to normalize the lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families,” according to the center’s Facebook page. It serves people with developmental disabilities in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Just yesterday, the center held its holiday party, announcing that “Santa is in the house!” A number of people came out to celebrate, some of whom were in wheelchairs.
