Lawyers for Planned Parenthood filed a federal lawsuit against the Ohio Health Department on Sunday, claiming the state’s attorney general is attempting to ban abortions. The suit, filed on behalf of three Planned Parenthood locations, seeks a restraining order and a preliminary injunction against the state of Ohio. The news comes two days after the state Attorney General Mike DeWine said he would file an injunction to block Planned Parenthood from sending fetal remains to companies that allegedly dispose of them in landfills. The organization said it uses licensed medical-removal companies who handle fetal remains in compliance with Ohio laws.
