In truly uncharacteristic fashion, Donald Trump delivered a gracious speech accepting his defeat in the Iowa caucuses Monday night. The reality-TV star lost to Texan Sen. Ted Cruz, who took in 28 percent of the vote despite pre-caucus polling showing Trump as the clear favorite. âI truly love the people of Iowa,â a smiling Trump said during his speech. âIâm just honored, Iâm really honored. I want to congratulate Ted and all the incredible candidates.... Congratulations to everybody.â Trump continued on to spin his loss as a victory because, upon starting his campaign, experts suggested heâd have no shot at polling in the top 10 in the state of Iowa. âI think I might come here and buy a farm, I love it,â the real-estate mogul ended, after declaring that he will win New Hampshire next week.
