An Iranian cabinet minister says that all of the men in one of the country’s villages were executed for their reported role in drug trafficking. Shahindokht Molaverdi, an official responsible for the Islamic Republic’s division of women and family affairs, said violence could explode in the undisclosed area of the Sistan and Baluchestan province as a response to the executions. “The children of the executed criminals are also already drug traffickers,” she said. “They want to avenge the deaths of their fathers.” The total number of men killed has not been released.
