Raffi Freedman-Gurspan has been appointed as the main LGBT liason for the White House, making her the first trans person in the role. She becomes the first transgender staffer appointed to the White House role. She previously did outreach and recruitment for the presidential personnel office. The new role, Outreach & Recruitment Director for Presidential Personnel and Associate Director for Public Engagement, makes her the go-to contact for all LGBT issues.
