ISIS listed a top Hillary Clinton aide along with Muslim-American U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) as “crusaders” in an article in its in-house magazine Dabiq, threatening Western Muslims who don’t adhere to the group’s ideology. “[O]ne must not overlook the overt crusaders, those who don’t even wear the cloak of da’wah [preaching Islam], but instead directly involve themselves in politics and enforcing the laws of kufr,” according to the magazine. André Carson (D-IN), the only other Muslim-American elected to Congress, was not named on the list, which also included Department of Homeland Security officials, British politicians, “and other politically active apostates.”
