Apple executive Eddy Cue reportedly proposed buying Time Warner at a meeting between the two companies last year. The proposal allegedly never passed the preliminary stage and never included the chief executives of either company. Apple’s plans to spend on producing original content are still in the works, and the company has not ruled out the idea of acquiring a media giant like Time Warner, which is valued at $60 billion. Time Warner owns HBO, Warner Bros., and Turner.
