Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton said that he believes Philando Castile, the man fatally shot by police during a traffic stop, would still be alive if he were white. “All of us in Minnesota are forced to confront that this kind of racism exists,” Dayton said Thursday afternoon at a press conference. “It's incumbent upon all of us to vow that we're going to do whatever we can to see that it doesn't happen—doesn't continue to happen.”
