Rep. Steve King (R-IA) doubled down Wednesday on controversial remarks he made earlier this week that white people have made more âcontributionsâ to western civilization than other âsub-groups.â King defended his comments to the Washington Post by saying he was responding to a panelist who claimed âold white peopleâ are a dying brand.
âThe idea of multi-culturalism and that every culture is equalâthatâs not objectively true,â King told The Washington Post on Facebook Live. âAnd weâve been fed that information for the last 25 years in this country. And weâre not going to continue to become a greater nation if we donât look at this objectively.â
