French President François Hollande said Tuesday the Islamic State terror group was responsible for the knife attack and hostage situation that killed a priest in Normandy. A statement published by an ISIS-affiliated news agency appeared to confirm Hollande’s claim, noting the group executed the attack. The statement called the attackers “soldiers” of ISIS. A second victim was seriously wounded in the attack, which Hollande called a "vile" terrorist action and a "cowardly assassination."
