Poll: Clinton Dominates Several Battleground States

Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump with significant advantages in at least three key battleground states, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll released Friday. The Democratic nominee has commanding double-digit leads among voters surveyed in Colorado and Virginia, with a 14 percentage-point edge over Trump in the former and a 13 percentage-point lead in the latter, the home stage of her running-mate, Tim Kaine. In North Carolina, which was won by Republican nominee Mitt Romney in 2012, Clinton has a 9 percentage-point advantage; and in Florida, she holds a 5 percentage-point lead. The poll was conducted between Aug. 4-10, suggesting the Democratic nominee’s post-DNC poll bounce has sustained beyond the usual weeklong high.
