Fox News host Sean Hannity has given Donald Trump’s presidential campaign tens of millions of dollars worth of free advertising, according to an analysis by liberal watchdog Media Matters for America. Hannity, who recently admitted to informally advising Trump on campaign matters, has devoted since June 2015 more than 22 hours of airtime to softball interviews with Trump—airtime that is worth more than $31 million in advertising value, according to media service iQ Media. In 2016 alone, Media Matters reported, Hannity gave Trump 13-and-a-half hours worth of interviews (including re-airs). The analysis did not include how many times Hannity discussed Trump in a positive manner without the GOP nominee present.
