FBI Recovers 30 Hillary Clinton Emails Involving Benghazi

The State Department said Tuesday that 30 emails possibly related to 2012 Benghazi attack were recovered during the FBI’s recent investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. According to the AP, State will take until at least the end of September to review the emails not previously disclosed by Clinton and redact any classifed information before publicly releasing the notes. U.S. District Court Judge Amit P. Mehta, however, requested the department speed up the process, during a hearing in one of the lawsuits filed by conservative legal group Judicial Watch in their attempt to force more of Clinton’s government records out into the open. Just last week, U.S. officials said the FBI had recovered nearly 14,900 emails that Clinton did not turn over with the server she used while secretary of State.
