“Conversation is not harassment.”

Brandon Victor Dixon, the “Hamilton” actor who made post-show remarks on Friday directed at Vice President-elect Mike Pence in the audience, said he would not apologize to him. President-elect Donald Trump called the speech “very rude” and demanded an apology, but Pence himself did not ask for one on Sunday. “There’s nothing to apologize for. Conversation is not harassment,” Dixon said Monday on CBS This Morning. “Art is meant to bring people together, it’s meant to raise consciousness.” After the performance on Friday, Dixon implored Pence to “work on behalf of all of us.”
