Debbie Reynolds, the Oscar-nominated actress and mother of Carrie Fisher, died Wednesday at the age of 84, just a day after her daughter. “She wanted to be with Carrie,” her son Todd Fisher told Variety. Reynolds reportedly passed away after suffering what was believed to be a stroke. She was with her son and just after 1 p.m. someone from the house called the police. Reynolds had been grieving the loss of her daughter who passed away Tuesday. She was famous for roles in Tammy and the Bachelor and The Unsinkable Molly Brown, for which she was nominated for an Oscar. Reynolds also starred in the classic film Singin’ in the Rain, and received the SAG lifetime achievement award in January 2015.
