The U.S. Senate voted early Friday to approve Rep. Tom Price as the next secretary of Health and Human Services. The Georgia Republican faced a somewhat contentious confirmation as questions arose about the ethics of his stock transactions while serving in Congress, as well as his commitment to dismantle or alter the Affordable Care Act and other health-care programs. By a count of 52-47, largely along party lines, however, the Senate confirmed Price, a 62-year-old orthopedic surgeon.
