Sir Roger Moore, the British actor best known for playing James Bond, has died at age 89. Moore’s family announced his death in a statement, saying he died after a “short but brave battle with cancer.” Moore played 007 in seven films as part of his 50-year career in television and movies. He became a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in 1991. Moore is survived by his wife and three children.
