Steven Spielberg may or may not have been throwing some shade at Donald Trump this week as he gave this year's commencement speech at Harvard University.
“We are a nation of immigrants-- at least for now,” Spielberg said (at the 9:32 mark), drawing laughter from Harvard’s newest graduates.
Nowhere in Spielberg’s speech did he mention Trump explicitly, so it’s open to interpretation whether he was making a sly reference to the Republican nominee’s anti-immigrant rhetoric.

But it sure seemed like it.
“A hero needs a villain to vanquish,” he added later (at 13:01). “And you’re all in luck. This world is full of monsters. And there’s racism, homophobia, ethnic hatred, class hatred, there’s political hatred, and there’s religious hatred.”
