Walt Disney Co. refused to offer the Los Angeles Times advance film screenings this year for the paper's annual Holiday Movie Sneaks section. The company reportedly withheld the films because it claims the paper was unfair in its coverage of the company's extensive business ties with Anaheim, California. One of the subjects of the Times story, published in September, is the company-city relationship over a 10,241-space parking garage which Anaheim built and owns, but leases to Disney for $1 per year. Disney reportedly receives all of the revenue generated from the parking structure, which charges $20 a vehicle to park and $35 for a preferred spot near elevator access.
