Same-sex couples can list both their names on their children's birth certificates, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Monday. The court ruled against an Arkansas law requiring same-sex couples to obtain a court order before listing both their names on a birth certificate. Same-sex couples argued that both partners should be listed as parents, even if one was not genetically related to the child.
