Forty years ago this summer, Bruce Springsteen released a song all about reminiscing over “glory days” gone by. But as it turns out, The Boss may be living his best life these days, especially as a newly-minted billionaire. Forbes reported Friday the ever-growing fortune of the legendary New Jersey rocker has now brought him to a net worth of $1.1 billion—a figure the wealth and finance magazine says it compiled as a conservative estimate. (Forbes says Springsteen’s representatives could not confirm the sum, however.) Still, it’s no secret the 20-time Grammy winner, who made a living singing about his family’s working-class roots, has likely seen a boon to his bank account in recent years. He sold his music catalog to Sony for $500 million in 2021, and last year, his still-ongoing world tour brought in $380 million in revenue, according to Pollstar. He’s also checked off two runs of his Broadway-turned-Netflix special one-man show and penned a No. 1 New York Times bestselling memoir, all within the past eight years.
