House Oversight to Probe Sec. Tom Price’s Jet Travel

The House Oversight Committee announced Wednesday that it will investigate the use of private-jet travel by Cabinet officials at taxpayer expense. The committee requested information from the White House and 24 federal agencies regarding the use of government-owned or private non-commercial aircraft use by senior officials. The investigation comes after accusations that Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin unnecessarily used charter jets for official business.
