Politics Inside the Chinese Factory Making Ivanka Trump’s Shoes While Donald Trump rails against outsourcing jobs to China, his daughter does just that with her shoe line. Tour the factory where her footwear is made. Published Dec. 8 2016 1:00AM EST
The irony of Donald Trump’s criticism of America outsourcing jobs to China is that his daughter Ivanka does just that. Her shoe line—sold in the United States at department stores like Nordstrom and Macy’s—is manufactured in Dongguan, in south China’s Guangdong province. Here, workers assemble on a production line at the Huajian shoe factory, where about 100,000 pairs of Ivanka Trump-branded shoes have been made over the years.
