For a wedding that was a weeklong celebration in Italy, you would expect that the bride’s dress would be anything but ordinary—and Jessica Biel did not disappoint. The actress wore a custom-made pink Giambattista Valli haute-couture gown for her Friday wedding to Justin Timberlake . After the ceremony, Biel changed into a less formal dress. Timberlake, who wore a Tom Ford tuxedo—as did the rest of the groomsmen—must have been impressed with the dress: he called the wedding “magical ” and he sang Biel a song from his new album that he wrote for her. Guess he saved “Sexy Back” for when the couple was alone? Either way, Biel described their wedding as a “fantasy experience.”
Amber Tamblyn may have shared one pair of jeans with three other girls in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants , but her wedding dress was uniquely her own. The Roots’ Questlove tweeted photos from the ceremony, including one that shows Tamblyn walking barefoot in a bright yellow, form-fitting frock, arm in arm with her father toward her bridegroom, David Cross.

Is it vintage-cute or does it resemble toilet paper? The jury is still out.

For her 2002 wedding to rock star Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani wore an ombre pink Christian Dior wedding gown, designed by none other than John Galliano. “I said I wanted it to be over the top, but not traditional—I wanted it to be everything,” Stefani said of the one-of-a-kind dress. Galliano delivered. Not only did the bride love it, but the Victoria and Albert Design Museum in London decided to put it on display.

For Reese Witherspoon’s second time down the aisle, she apparently felt no need to dress in virginal white. The Water for Elephants star wed Jim Toth in March 2011 in a blush-colored Monique Lhullier gown with a lace corset bodice.
Elizabeth Taylor had already been married four times when she tied the knot with actor Richard Burton in 1964. The bride wore a yellow dress and a floral headdress for the occasion.
