Former Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson and other ex-campaign staffers are launching a new pro-Trump nonprofit group called America First Policies, the group announced in a Monday statement. The organization will “support key initiatives and policies of The White House” and counter “the agenda of the liberal and biased media.” Joining Pierson are Nick Ayers, Rick Gates, Marty Obst, Brad Parscale, and David Bossie, all of whom worked on the Trump-Pence campaign. Organizing for Action, a similar pro-White House nonprofit founded during the Obama administration voluntarily disclosed its donors quarterly. America First Policies has not announced whether it would announce its funders. Pierson became well-known during the campaign for her controversialon-air defenses of Trump policies and rhetoric, and her past tweets about President Obama. Following the election, she reportedly sought a role in the Trump White House’s communications department.
