The 71st annual Tony Awards has found its host in House of Cards star Kevin Spacey. The announcement comes just days after a New York Post column claimed the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, which will present the award show on CBS June 11th, were struggling to secure a host after actress Tina Fey turned down the gig. Previous hosts James Corden and Neil Patrick Harris also passed along with Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is currently shooting the Mary Poppins reboot in London. “I was their 2nd choice for Usual Suspects, 4th choice for America Beauty and 15th choice to host this year's Tony Awards," Spacey, who won a Tony in 1991 for his role in Lost in Yonkers, said in a statement. "I think my career is definitely going in the right direction. Maybe I can get shortlisted to host the Oscars if everyone else turns it down.”
